St. John’s School, English Medium, At-Pharsabera, P.O. Khuntitoli, Simdega is situated on the N.H. 143, five-kilometre North from District Headquarters Simdega. It was established on July 15, 1991, at Diptitoli, a suburban area of Simdega town. This region of the plateau is inhabited by simple ‘adivasis’ (tribals) in the great majority. The school campus is characterised by a variety of colourful plants and trees. The students play and learn in a beautiful garden and a healthy environment.
The school is run by St. John’s Educational Society, registered under the Societies Registration Act 21, 1860. It was registered on May 7, 1999, in Patna. After the establishment of the Jharkhand state, the society was re-registered in the office of the Inspector General of Registration, Jharkhand. The registration Number is 107/2006-2007. The Society received the Registration Certificate on May 25, 2006.
The Fresh Composite Provisional Affiliation was sanctioned to St. John’s School, English Medium, Simdega by CBSE, New Delhi for the period of three years w.e.f. 01.04.2012 to 31.03.2015. The Provisional Affiliation was further extended for the period of five years, w,e,f, 01. 04.2015 to 31.03.2020. Due to COVID-19, affiliation was extended till 31. 03. 2021. Extension of general Affiliation up to Secondary level regarding ref. Application No. EX01742-2021 is issued to St. John’s School, English Medium, for the further period of five years w.e.f. 01.04.2020 to 31.03.2025 on 03.10.2020. Further Extension of general Affiliation was sanctioned to St. John’s School for the period of five years, w.e.f. 01.04.2025 to 31.03.2030.
St. John’s School, English Medium was basically established for the local people, particularly for the people of the scheduled Tribes, the scheduled caste, and also for the people of other sections of society. When the school was founded, there were no CBSE English-medium schools in this area. The parents had to go to far-off cities, like Ranchi and Rourkela, to admit their children into such Schools for quality education. St John’s School became a blessing for the people of this area. Now, so many renowned Schools and Colleges have come up to meet the needs of the people.
Thus, we could develop correct human values and make them practical in life for the people, so as to attain moral excellence for a peaceful life in society at large.
