Curricular Activities

The Co-curricular Programme and co scholastic activities of the school are designed to meet the religious, intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of the students according to their age level and interest. Regular Career Counselling sessions are conducted for the senior students. For Talks and seminars, eminent personalities from various fields are invited. They help students to reason their queries and examine their doubts. For parade ‘Bag-piper music with flute combination’ is introduced. Initiative, creativity, student planning and opportunity to develop leadership are encouraged. Some of these activities are the following: -

(i) For self-expression – Dramatics, Debating, Quiz, Elocution, Entertainment, Drawing and Painting, Essay writing competition, Extempore Competition, Science and Arts exhibition, Career counselling etc.

(ii) For Ceremonial Occasions – Music and Dance programmes are organised.

(iii) For Bodily Health and Sportsmanship – Athletics, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Scouts and Guides, N.C.C. etc.

Social Oriented Activities – It is part of the education policy of the nation to direct students to take part in social and national service in order to build their character, bring home to them the dignity of manual labour and to develop a sense of responsibility. Social service projects are occasionally organised, consisting of programmes of social uplift outside the school campus. A special literacy project is organised. Such projects involve students from classes VI, VII, VIII, IX, and X to expose them to the socioeconomic realities of their less fortunate brethren.
